Hi and Bye!

Image
Hi Everyone...please forgive me for not writing in so long! I have been pretty busy...my social calendar has been pretty full! So, I really have discovered what this waving thing is all about. I wave "hi" and "bye" to everyone and everything! Airplanes (more about those in a second), toys, sippy cups, dolls, books, my blanket, puppies...you get the point! I don't get sad about not being able to take my blanket out of my room, because now I just wave bye-bye to it and tell it I'll see you at my next nap! Everywhere I go, whether it is the grocery store or Subway, I wave to the moving things I see...people, cars, birds, flags... Make sure you vote in my poll (on the right)! Airplanes! Wow! I really love to watch them go! We must live close to an airport, because they are always flying over my house! I can even hear them inside my house and I look towards the window hoping I will catch a glance! They other night in my bath, Mama was reading me a book and she sa...

Thank you Grandpa and Gigi!

Here I am in my birthday present from Grandpa and Gigi! I love it--it has my name on it! I love sitting in it, and I love getting in and out all by myself. Mama and Dada are a little worried about me when I get out though, because I don't turn around and back down, oh no, I go straight down and catch myself with my hands so I'm ready to crawl! They put a pillow on the floor just for a little extra padding! Thank you for my chair! I had so much fun during Grandpa and Gigi's visit last weekend! They came in on Friday and Mama and I went to pick them up at the airport while Dada manned the grill. We had dinner, and then I hit the sack. Saturday morning was really fun, but it was unusual! Instead of leisurely eating breakfast at home, they got me dressed and we all piled in the car and headed to Great Falls National Park. We had a picnic breakfast under the trees, and it was so much fun. I really love being outside like that--I like to hear the birds and see the green trees an...

More Broccoli Please!!

Tonight was such a big night...I just had to write to tell everyone about it! After I finished my dinner of chicken, cheese, bananas, grapes, and watermelon I played a little on the floor. Mama and Dada were fixing their dinner...salmon, wild rice, and broccoli. They sat down on the couch to eat while I played, but I started smelling something quite delicious from their plates! I stood up by Mama and started reaching for her food, in hopes she would share some with me. I really wanted to try the "adult" food. First, she gave me some rice on her fork and I loved it. She gave me more and more, but I noticed something green on her plate...it looked like a tree. I reached for it and she said "I don't think you are going to like this" but she let me try it anyways. I LOVE BROCCOLI!!! It had a little lemon juice on it and I thought it was great! I kept asking...whining...reaching for more and she was so happy that I liked it so much. Then, I saw that Dada had some gre...

Red, White, & Blue

This was my 2nd Fourth of July to celebrate! This year was a little more action-packed than last! I really enjoyed the 4th last year with Grammy, but it was a little "low-key", according to Grammy. I remember laying in her arms on the couch and we listened to these loud banging noises outside. She kept calling them fireworks... This year, Mama and Dada told me how much I have grown up since last year! I wasn't swaddled like last year...I had on big girl clothes...jean shorts and a red-checked shirt. Speaking of clothes, Mama and Dada bought me some new shoes today! Mama has looked around for some that were my size (4-5) and she found them today! She calls them Crocs. They may have a funny name, but they sure are comfortable! They are a little big, but Dada says there's growing room. We went to a Fourth of July celebration at Claude Moore Park in Sterling. I met a clown and he made me a balloon dog. I ended up sharing him with another little boy, because his popped and...

Party Time

Mama told me about this "birthday week" thing she likes to do (celebrate for a whole week just for a birthday!) and I am beginning to really like it! But I am not just getting to celebrate for a week, but almost for a whole month! I could really get used to this! Mama and Dada had a party for me at Potomack Lakes Sportsplex on Sat., June 30th. Wow...it was so much fun to see all my friends come. Aunt Lindsey and Josh came too! Let's see...we had John, Beth, Jonathan, Mia, and Sophie Lossing, Jen and Mark Whittenberg (plus a friend of Jen's), Susan, Abby, and Kimmy Fisher, Cyndy, Jeremy, Mackenzie, and Caleb Oliver, Whitney and Wesley Cook, Katie and Kevin Compton, Troy and Colin Harris (plus Troy's older son), Susan, Josh, and Adam Thomas, Darren, Minta, and Evan Cole, Mark and Sara Bateman, Kathy, Brian, Caleb, and Megan James, Jonathan and Sara Grace Dancy, Steve and Karyn Hatch, AND Colette and Daniel Cochran. It was unbelievable! I really missed having the Mei...
