Pink Bows and Tiny Toes

Unfortunatly...not too much to write about this trip.  Rain, rain, and more rain.  Actually, I should say tropical storm.  :)  We knew it would rain, but I think we hoped there would be some dry spells too.  Well, we were wrong.  But, that didn't stop daddy and Emily from playing at the beach for a little while and then all of us playing in the pool.  But, sadly, those were the only times we were able to be in the water.  Some of the fun memories we did make... *Emily loves gas station treats...laffy taffy, sour straws, etc.  But who can blame her? *Grant loves Fruit Loops...but who can blame him?? *We loved a pizza place we found called Padre Pizzeria...super yummy! *Emily liked the souviener shops...especially the ones with the shark and mermaid. Hopefully next year's trip will be a little more exciting! ;) In the new van heading to Port Aransas!  Driving to our parking spot!  Look at that sweet look...Grant loves his da...

My birthday was great this year.  My dad and Karen sort of surprised me and called the day before saying they wanted to fly down to be with me for the day.  I don't get to see them all that much, so I was excited they would take the time to come.  Emily and I picked them up from the airport and headed to our traditional Target shopping trip.  So fun!  Then we picked up the boys (Seth and Grant) and went to Pappasitos for lunch...my favorite.  After we stuffed ourselves, we headed to Babies R Us to pick up a few things for Luke and then went back for naps.  During naptime, my dad actually helped Seth bake cupcakes for me!!!  I have never seen him make anything in the kitchen and seeing them "bake" together was so funny!  Karen and I headed out to get a pedicure and came back to the boys still at the cupcakes.  I took them back to the airport so they could get back to Dallas and then our family went to Bigz Burgers to have dinner with some...

If you know me at all, you know that 2 of my kids sharing a room is totally out of my comfort zone...like I never thought I would do it.  Well, when God surprised us with our baby Luke, mommy has had to let go of her plans and comfort zone...and Emily moved in with Grant!  They go to sleep great, sleep great through the night, but our mornings have been a little sketchy... Emily's room before... Grant's room before... Pictures of the joint room to come... ;)

Some sweet friends hosted a little diaper shower for me and my friend, Annie.  Annie is expecting her 2nd boy, Sam, the same day we are expecting Luke!  Our ABF class was invited and I was so happy that some sweet friends came to celebrate with us!  We had so much fun and the food was great!  I am sad I don't have more pictures from the night...
