Missions Game!

Image
Seth took Emily on a date to the Missions baseball game.  Emily really loves sports and is always asking when we can go a volleyball, baseball, football, game.  She loved it and I know that Seth loves taking her and spending some one-on-one time with her.  Their relationship is priceless... She is a big fan of the jalepeno!  The only other girl who is allowed to go on a date with Seth... :)

First Day of School

Image
Emily's 1st day of school was August 26th at UUMC (University United Methodist Church Day School).  She is in the 4 year-old Tues/Thurs. class with Ms. Marisa and Ms. Diane.  She is so excited and I am so excited for her! :)

Let the Fun Begin!

Image
Emily and Grant have been playing together more and more.  I adore watching them interact and I love my daughter for the way the loves Grant.  She is gentle with him, thoughtful towards him, and gets down to "his level" to play.  He responds with belly laughs and smiles for her.  The interactions are truly priceless for this momma.

Helotes Firestation

Image
My sweet friend, Adrienne, arranged for us to head to the firestation in Helotes to get a tour.  The kids really seemed to enjoy it and the fireman that talked to them was fantastic.  He has young kids too, so he talked right at their level and Emily seemed to really "get" what he was teaching them.  It was a fun, but hot morning!

Grant's first steps!

Grant took his first steps tonight!  All four of us were in the playroom after dinner, getting ready to give Emily and Grant a bath.  Emily was drawing on her easel, and Seth and I were on the floor with Grant.  Emily showed us the picture she'd drawn, and we all clapped.  We looked over at Grant, and he had let go of the easel and was standing clapping!  A few minutes later, Seth was holding Grant up and told him to "go to mama," and he did!  He took three or four steps to me!  We tried to get him to do it again, but no luck.  Maybe tomorrow when he's rested.

Emily's Dance Class

Image
At Heather Stolle's Dance Studio, Emily took a little 6 week summer dance class.  We were invited into her class to watch a little dance on the last day.  So precious...  "Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun"  "Won't you please shine down on me!"  "Hiding behind a treee!"
