If you haven't tried it...you must. I have taken Emily to see If You Give a Moose a Muffin (twice...b/c we had to take Daddy back to see it) and most recently, Pinkalicious. She has loved them both and so have I. I am so impressed with this place and the quality of shows they put on for kids. We will be getting season passes again next year. Here is Emily waiting for Pinkalicious to start! She and I went on a date together...

Emily started her first Ballet class. I signed her up at our gym, Lifetime. I think the class is perfect for her...very laid back and only 7 sessions. If she likes it, I told her we could sign her up for more...and she LOVES it so far. On her first day, Seth and I kept peeking down through the glass window at her. I was so proud of her because she was doing everything her teacher was asking of her and she was having so much fun. After class, she asked Seth and I if her teacher, Miss Lauren, could be a part of our family. :) This is Emily wearing her tutu around the house. She was getting ready... Here she is in her ballet clothes. My sweetheart.
Grant's First Haircut

So, we have been needing to get Grant's hair cut for a while...and it finally happened. Seth really wanted to take him to Lamar's Barbershop in San Marcos to have Lamar cut his hair. Lamar gave Seth his first haircut and I really love that we waited and took Grant to him too. I was a little nervous...Lamar is on the older side and had some pointy scissors that he used on Grant...and Grant was moving so much that I flinched once or twice. I was also a little sad to see some of the curls fall to the floor. When we were leaving, Lamar said it would be $12 (I think) and when Seth and Carol put their cash together to pay Lamar, he gave it back to us by tucking it in the envelope with Grant's hair and told us to put it in Grant's savings. It was such a sweet thing for him to do. And on the way out the door, he gave Emily a penny to put in the gum machine...Seth said it has been there since he was a little boy.

Seth's family owns some property on the San Marcos River in Martindale, TX. Seth really loves this place...being outdoors, the river, fishing, tubing, kayaking, etc. Recently, we went there so he could take Emily fishing. We got there a little before Gigi and Grandpa, so we took a few bluebonnet pictures. I hadn't planned on taking bluebonnet pictures, so the kids clothes are not the best for these and Grant was not really feeling the picture-taking. ;) Getting ready to do a little fishing...nice boots, Seth. My sweet baby boy. The fisherwoman! She and daddy caught their first fish together, but the camera battery died so we don't have a picture. Boo-hoo. I can't believe she held the worm...I think it is funny that she is wearing a charm bracelet and holding a worm...

Today Grant is 10 months. I can't believe that in 2 months, we will be celebrating his 1st birthday! He still hasn't reached some of the "bigger" milestones...like crawling, getting teeth, etc., but he continues to grow and be as sweet as pie. Some of the things I want to take note of are: *He got ear tubes put in this month. He has had 5 bilateral ear infections since Christmas. *He gives kisses! Seth or I will ask for a kiss and he will turn and come at us with an open mouth...so darn cute! *He gets on all fours in the crib and rocks back and forth...crawling should be around the corner! *He is now entering the separtion anxiety phase. He has cried the last 2 times I left him in the church nursery and when friends hold him, he will turn looking for mommy or daddy. I hope it is short-lived! *He still has a smile that will melt everyone. And he smiles all the time. *He has pretty much said adios to baby food. He likes to eat fi...

Seth had school on Easter weekend, so my mom and Billy came to stay with us to celebrate. We headed to early church and then back to our house for Easter lunch. I realized this was the 2nd annual Easter lunch at the Sullivan household. Gigi, Grandpa, Gran, Gabi, Ben, and Grace came over too. We ate and then headed to the backyard for an Easter egg hunt and cascarone fun! I didn't know what Emily would think about cracking eggs on her head, but she loved it! Gran even got one on the head! Sorry, I am including a lot of pics in this one! Emily seemed to understand even more why we celebrate Easter. I hope to include more traditions over the next few years to really emphasize Jesus' death and resurrection.
