Trip to the big "D"
Well, I am back from Dallas. I had a really good time seeing all my family! Mama and Dada kept me really busy!
On the flight to Dallas, I was proud of myself...I did really well for being a kid who likes to crawl and move a lot! Dada walked me up and down the aisles and I made a few friends while I was at it! All kinds of people think I am pretty cute and I have to agree with them!
When I got to Grammy's house on Thursday, I thought I had died and gone to heaven! There was so much floor to crawl on!!! Even though it was hardwood, I surprised everyone as I went in circles around the kitchen and through the bedrooms. I found I new game I really like...I find something with a smooth bottom and while I am on my knees, I push it around on floor (like I did with the laundry basket!). Very fun game! Oh...and I loved seeing Maggie...aka "baaboo". (That's what I call puppies right now!) We were good playmates for the weekend. I also went swimming! I really was a great swimmer all weekend, but my favorite thing is to relax in my swim float! Grammy bought me a blue bouncy ball and it was great! I also liked playing with some of Mama's old toys.

My first night in the pack-n-play was great. I think Mama worried about how I would do, but I was super comfortable and I slept until morning. I slept great every night...I sure do love having my noise machine play a raining sound at night...makes me feel at home and it lulls me right to sleep!
On Friday, I got to see Aunt Jenny, Uncle Jason, and Pops! I sure have missed seeing them. We went to a Mexican restaurant and I fit right in as I ate black beans and avocados...two of my favorite foods! Yum!
On Saturday, I hung out with the boys...Dada, Uncle Jason, and Pops! The girls went to a bridal shower and they left me behind! I overheard Mama saying I would make too much noise...I wonder why she would think that?!? That night, I went to another restaurant and then we took some cute pictures outside by the water. I think I look pretty photogenic...
Sunday was a busy day! I went with Mama and Dada to Plano to see Dada's Fish Camp friends. I met a boy a little older than me. His name is Andrew and I think he is pretty cute! That night was my 1st of three birthday parties! The Caddells, Peggy, the Clarks, and the Berrys came to celebrate with me. I was a little tired, though. I loved the balloons, but I wasn't too fond of the cake!
I made out pretty good, though...a new bag with fuzzy pink hearts from Grammy, new Baby Einstein DVDs and bath books from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Jason, a red checked shirt and hat from Betsy, a sock monkey and beach towel from Peggy, bath toys from the Clarks, and nursery rhyme books from the Berrys. I guess I better get to writing some thank-you notes! (Maybe I'll ask Mama to write them for me!)
On Monday, I had my 1 year pictures made. I gave my Mama a good scare and started crying on the 1st picture! Hee-hee! Then Dada showed up and cheered me up! I thought I did pretty good for four outfit changes and everybody making crazy faces at me. The photographer liked me so much that she wrote in her own blog about me! Then, back home. I am getting really good at this flying thing. I now have been on 11 flights and I am not even one yet! I am thinking I might give my Mama and Dada a hard time starting tomorrow. I have been pretty spoiled for the last 5 days...somebody always at my beck and call! ;)

One more thing-I started playing this game with Dada...we both really like it! He acts like he wants a bite of my food by leaning in towards me and I put a piece of my food on his lip, then I quickly sneak it in MY mouth! I love faking him out!
Love to you all,
Emmy
