Hangin' with Dada!
It's Dada Week! Mama is in Dallas visiting her family, sleeping in, and relaxing, so Dada and I have been hanging out. We've had a ton of fun, but I do miss my Mama a lot. I'm so happy I get to see her tomorrow!!
Dada and I have done lots of things together--we went to Lowe's and the grocery store on Wednesday morning. Then, after my nap, Dada took me to see the National Counterterrorism Center! It was really cool for a minute, but then I pretty much hated it. Too many new faces up in my face, and none of them were my Momma's! I cried almost the entire time we were there, and didn't smile once. I don't think I'll have a "desk job" when I grow up! Needless to say, we didn't hang around there too long!

We got home and I got to play with all my toys, and that helped. Then for dinner that night, we both had frozen pizza and that was good--definitely got me feeling better!
Today was really fun! We got up and had breakfast, and then Dada took me on a hike! There's a park near our house with beautiful trails, so I hopped up in the backpack and off we went through the woods! I didn't get to see much wildlife, other than birds and two daddy long legs, but we did make it all the way to the river and it was so pretty! We're going to take Mama back there soon! After lunch we went to the pool and I had a ball! I splashed up a storm and waved at other kids and birds and airplanes.
And guess what?! After dinner tonight Dada gave me ice cream while we watched Baby Einstein! YUM YUM!
Before I went to bed the last couple of nights we've sat out on the glider together, side by side, watching for airplanes. We saw four or five last night, but none tonight. Too bad. I really wish we had a picture of that--we'll have to get Mama to take one when she gets home TOMORROW (I can't wait!!!!).
All in all, we've had a lot of fun together and have been able to connect in a way that we hadn't been able to before we spent so much time together. Dada really, really, really loves me!!!
Must go to sleep now--the sooner I go to sleep the sooner Mama gets home!
Love you,
Emily
